A digital signature pad allows you to draw your signature using a mouse, trackpad, or finger on a touchscreen — and download it as a clean PNG with a transparent background or a JPG with a white background. Drawing on a tablet or phone touchscreen produces the most natural-looking signature, as the finger or stylus mimics the natural writing motion. Using a mouse on a desktop tends to produce slightly shakier lines — use a slow, deliberate motion for the best result. Signature Image Requirements for Indian Government Portals

Many official job and admission portals require signature images in JPG format, between 10KB and 30KB, at approximately 140 × 60 pixels. After drawing your signature on our pad, select "JPG" as the export format and use the compression slider to target the required file size. The white background option is mandatory for JPG format (since JPG does not support transparency).

Is an Online Drawn Signature Legally Valid?

In India, the Information Technology Act 2000 and the IT (Amendment) Act 2008 define electronic signatures as legally valid for most documents. However, a simple drawn signature image is not the same as a legally compliant "electronic signature" — it lacks the authentication and non-repudiation features required. For most informal documents, it is perfectly adequate. For contracts, property transactions, and government filings that require a digital signature, you need a DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) from a licensed Certifying Authority.
