Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 May 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how TinyTools ("https://tinytools.in") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and tools. We have written it in plain language because we believe you deserve to understand exactly what happens to your data — not just tick a legal checkbox.
1. Files you process
Browser-side tools (image compression, CSV/JSON conversion, text tools, calculators, QR code generator, and others): your files and data never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. We have no technical ability to access, intercept, or store anything you work with in these tools.
Server-side tools (PDF compression, PDF merge/split, background removal, HEIC conversion, and similar): your file is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our processing server. It is loaded into volatile memory (RAM), processed, and the result is returned to your browser. The original file is deleted from memory immediately after processing completes. We do not write your file to disk, we do not back it up, and we do not log its contents. No human at TinyTools ever sees your file.
2. Information we collect automatically
When you visit TinyTools, our servers and third-party analytics services automatically receive standard technical information that any web server receives: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to diagnose technical problems. We do not use it to identify you personally.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage patterns — for example, which tools are used most often, how long sessions last, and which countries visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish users. We have enabled IP anonymisation, which means your full IP address is never stored by Google. We do not use Google Analytics to track personally identifiable information or to build advertising profiles.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Advertising and cookies
TinyTools displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info.
We also use a small number of functional cookies to remember your preferences (such as recently used tools). These cookies do not contain personal information and are not shared with third parties. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some features of the site may not work correctly without them.
5. Contact form
If you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your contact details with third parties.
6. Data retention
We do not maintain a database of user accounts or user-uploaded files. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry and are then deleted.
7. Third-party services
TinyTools uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdSense — policies.google.com/privacy
- Vercel (hosting) — vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any other third party under any circumstances.
8. Security
All connections to TinyTools are encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel, which maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. We apply the principle of least privilege to all internal systems — no component of our stack has access to data it does not need to function. Despite these measures, no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please contact us at hello@tinytools.in.
9. Children's privacy
TinyTools is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we collect very little personal information and do not maintain user accounts, most of these rights are satisfied by the design of our service. If you have a specific request, contact us at hello@tinytools.in and we will respond within 30 days.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of TinyTools after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or about how we handle your data, you can reach us at hello@tinytools.in or through our contact page.
