What Are Online Workflow Tools?
Online workflow tools let you complete multi-step tasks without switching between different websites or applications. A traditional approach to, say, cropping images and creating a PDF would require opening a crop tool, downloading the output, opening a PDF creator, uploading again, and downloading the final file. A workflow removes all of those intermediate steps.
TinyTools Workflows are designed specifically for common file tasks that people repeat regularly — resizing photos, building PDF documents, extracting text from scanned images, and more. Each Workflow is self-contained: you arrive at the page, follow the guided steps, and leave with your finished file.
Image Crop to PDF Workflow — Step-by-Step
The Image Crop → PDF Workflow is the first Workflow available on TinyTools. It is designed for situations where you have one or more images that need to be trimmed to a specific region before being combined into a PDF. Common use cases include:
- Scanning documents and cropping out margins or irrelevant backgrounds before generating a clean PDF
- Preparing product images in a consistent 4:3 or 1:1 aspect ratio for a printable catalogue PDF
- Cropping screenshots to show only the relevant portion before compiling into a PDF report
- Creating a multi-page PDF from several phone photos after cropping each to remove unwanted edges
Browser-Based Image Processing — No Upload Required for Cropping
The crop step in the Image Crop → PDF Workflow uses the browser's native Canvas API to process images directly in memory. The cropped output is generated locally and passed straight to the PDF builder — your original images are not sent to any external server during the crop phase. The PDF generation step uses the same server endpoint as the standalone JPG-to-PDF tool on TinyTools, which processes the file and returns the PDF immediately.
